Launching a business from scratch, zero dollars to your first one million dollars is the hardest money to make and business to build.  Once you get there, a good product and good email will typically take you between $2m-$3m.  A bad operator will usually kill the business around there.  A good operator can typically move the business from there to $5m-$10m. After $10m you need all hands on deck with finance management, team building, real buy in from the key roles within the business and a lean operation.  This requires skill and above average decision making.  This is what we are good at.

What you did to go from zero to a million in sales will not be the same team or systems.  Our brands have done upwards of $2,000,000 per month and we can tell you that it looked very different from when we did $100,000 per month.  This requires better processes, people and products.  We hired more job specific roles and systemized those roles to run like a well oiled machine as we scaled.  This was vital in getting a brand over the $10,000,000 a year mark.

Building a product here in the states or over seas can be tricky depending on your goals.  We have built over 50 products in the last 5 years.  Some of which have been award winning and most bought over and over again. Best price, highest quality, fastest lead times, whatever it may be, you need to know how to navigate those vendors and conversations.  Negotiating pricing and production is not rocket science, but does require some experience to get the best deals and products.

Driving tons of traffic to your store doesn’t matter if your website sucks.  Conversion rate optimization is a skill set you should all learn if you want to be successful online. Every step of the sales process and funnel needs to be tested and analyzed for the type of traffic you are sending.  You must pair your traffic with the type of design you are using and messaging.  Even if you send poor traffic, or unqualified traffic to your great website, you still might not convert.  Both traffic type and design need to be in sync.

Email marketing is hands down the easiest and best way to grow your business from day 1.  Build a list and email them frequently.  Emailing a couple times a week typically scares brand owners off, but for those that have built bigger companies know that it works.  Your customers are there for what you have, they want to hear from you so make sure what you send them is quality.  Education, sales, cool news, new products, your customers have says “Yes”, tell me whats going on with your company.  Don’t be afraid to reach out to them.  We are email experts and love this sales channel.
